Pearl Harbor Japanese Tourists Japanese People At Pearl Harbor?

Japanese people at Pearl Harbor? - pearl harbor japanese tourists

It is a serious question, so please no nasty comments or insensitve. As I am Pearl, I found that many Japanese tourists. I did not know because I was too busy to stop mourn my respects to the dead. But I was watching TV and saw a comedian ask the same (alone, not good) and I began to wonder the same thing. Why go to all places? It's a free country, and I know we're all friends now, but ... Why not? Some believe it is a slap in the face for the survivors. What do you think?

It is a great shame for a sustainable society in Japan into the attack on Pearl Harbor, where it passed before the declaration of war against the Japanese Imperial Government of the United States government. And "Haji" (shame) must be repaired before his death. To the other posters who do not know, in the first ten deaths of civilians in the attack had the Japanese family name. Bombs do not discriminate. Moreover, these flowers in the polls when the names of the dead appear on the USS Arizona Memorial are are met by the former Lieutenant Commander Abe of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Force. Participated in the attack, and Flower will be paid for many years.
Another point. In recent decades, the Japanese are beginning to understand what was a catastrophic failure of the attack on Oahu military establishment. All but two of the warships that were sunk as well. American companies have been at sea and escaped destruction. And the haiku written by Admiral Yamamoto after the attack Isoruku was quite right:
"I fear that whatdo have a sleeping giant awakens
And he found a terrible decision. "

I think this is a historic moment for them. I also know from my experience, in Okinawa, that many Japanese like to golf in Hawaii. I am sure they will, to pay their respects.

The answer is very simple .. Millions of tourists from all over the world come every year to Hawaii and Pearl Harbor is an attractive ..

I lived in Hawaii for three years and is full of Japanese tourists and the past is the past ..

I do not just lack of respect .. Human nature is curious and would like to see a part of history.

Uh, there, and many, many, many Japanese Americans who already own in Hawaii and the mainland during ...... WW2 and Japanese veterans and their families have the right to visit, as we do when we do the places in Europe or Asia.

If you have a war against an enemy in combat care hard, wild and long, sometimes you can forgive, not forget certain things ..... sometimes.

The problem here is that you are the world from a perspective that very American. No Japanese person living today who had something to do with the decision to bomb Pearl Harbor. Do you feel there are angry, because it the same place as some people that the Japanese have more than a decade of terrible war?

Please ignore the military strategy and focus on the fact that the citizens are in a position to rules such as those with a stop (or as we are today). This is not the fault of the Japanese people, the fault lies with their leaders brought to power, because we are part of the culture of Japan destroyed in the 19th and 20 Century. The Japanese have killed many more than the United States. With the introduction of two pumps.

For the loss of life is sad, but consider the following:

Pearl Harbor: died in 2400 Americans dead, 65 Japanese

Bombing of Japanese cities: 500,000 Japanese dead, 5,000,000 homeless.

Hiroshima: 140,000 dead Japanese. Thousands died of cancer.

Nagasaki: 80,000 Japanese dead. Thousands died of cancer.

Pearl Harbor is an important part of our history as American history.

I went aboard the USS Missouri, anchored in the vicinity of the monument. The guide explains how Japanese tourists are not so interested, where the signing of peace than just around the hull to bottom near the stern. A dent made by a kamikaze pilot who managed to reach the ship, but the bomb did not explode.

For them it was much more interesting, because it was almost like a moment "proud" to them. A brave young pilot was fighting for his life for his country can.

Pearl Harbor, many different things to different people, even those who were our enemy.

Well, I think it's the same as in the case of U.S. citizens go to Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Pearl Harbor was a great victory for them and considering they have lost the war, want something to feel.
